Most classroom teachers (96%) think the arts makes learning fun and relevant for students, according to a recent straw poll. In a recent Huffington Post article, Dave Ruch, performer and teaching artist, writes that he conducted the straw poll among 700 American elementary school classroom teachers. He emphasizes that his findings aren't the result of "rigorous, controlled research." Instead, he polled teachers who'd already "raised their hand" for the arts by registering for his online concert.
