Arts Education Partners

Arts Education Partners

Arts education partners consist of teaching artists (professional writers and visual/performing artists) and cultural organization educators. These professionals have unique skills that blend artistic and curricular ideas into dynamic learning experiences for learners of all ages. Rather than teach the core arts curriculum, which is taught by arts specialists in schools, the arts education partner works with the classroom teacher, co-teaching a range of hybrid approaches to communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity that occur naturally in his or her artistic discipline.

(C3) SQUARED arts education partners are trained to collaborate with teachers so that there can be an exchange of knowledge and methods that will form custom learning experiences as well as address:

  • the needs of students
  • the requirements and constraints of the classroom
  • the 4C skills of all learners for the 21st century

Training for arts education partners occurs annually. The three-day intensive training session is free for accepted applicants. For more information about Arts Education Partners, visit RESOURCES.
